Assisted Living Services

We embrace a philosophy, which provides an environment for residents to be independent, self directed and responsible for their own health care and we believe that assistance is best provided on a consistent, pre-planned basis. We believe that with a strong commitment to this concept by all concerned, we can do an excellent job of maintaining many residents with some degree of impairments in their own apartment residences. Each resident bring their own set of needs, abilities and preferences. Our philosophy allows us to offer unique services designed to accommodate the individual resident and their families. Assisted Living Services are available in all private pay and funded suites. Residents requesting additional services in private pay suites will receive an assessment by our Director of Care to determine the level of assistance required. Assisted Living services rates correspond to the number of services required as well as number of visits to the suite per day and are charged monthly. Augustine House professionals work collaboratively with Fraser Health to ensure a successful transition.

Assisted Living Services

• MEDICATION MONITORING - reminding and overseeing the resident to take prescribed medication at the appropriate time. Medication is located in their suite and has been dispensed by a pharmacist or family member.

• PERSONAL CARE SERVICES - assistance with aspects resident is unable to manage

• BATHING ASSISTANCE - assistance with preparing the bath; helping the resident in and out; assistance with washing

• DAY/NIGHT MONITORING - a regular safety check visit

• MEAL REMINDERS - a call or visit to the resident to remind of mealtime

• ESCORT TO MEALS - accompanying to and from meal

• PERSONAL LAUNDRY - the laundering of personal linens and/or clothing

• ADDITIONAL HOUSEKEEPING - assistance with housekeeping over and above the basic provided
